Turn telemetry on for good

Close iRacing first. The sim rewrites app.ini when it exits, so a change made while it is running is lost.

Documents › iRacing › app.ini. The file is edited on your PC and is never uploaded.

Paste it into the File name box and press Enter - or browse to it: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\iRacing\app.ini
by hand
  1. Close iRacing.
  2. Open Documents\iRacing\app.ini in Notepad.
  3. Find the line irsdkAutoLogDisk=0 (under [Misc] in current builds) and make it =1. Leave irsdkLimitFileSize at 0 - a 100 MB cap cuts long sessions short.
  4. Save, start iRacing, drive. Your .ibt lands in Documents\iRacing\telemetry.
Recording on. Now drive.

Drop the most recent .ibt on the home page after your session.

Vidmantas SakalysFounder, PitDelta

I'm Vidmantas Sakalys. PitDelta is me — one hardware engineer in Vilnius, building it since February 2026. I'm an engineer, not a quick driver, so PitDelta doesn't hand you my opinion: it measures your own laps and tells you where the time went. Every number is computed from your telemetry, not written by a model. Weekends I'm usually under a '78 Lincoln. I answer every support email myself.
